(If you prefer not to order online, please scroll to the bottom of this page for a printable mail-in order form).
The 1st Annual Hospice Memorial Butterfly Release is open to the public and is a family-friendly event, to be held on-site at North Country Home Health & Hospice Agency (536 Cottage Street, Littleton, NH).
This gathering provides the opportunity to bring families, friends and neighbors together to celebrate and remember loved ones who have passed. If you are unable to attend the Butterfly Release but would still like to purchase butterflies, a representative will release them for you.
Envelopes containing your butterflies will be distributed promptly at 1:15 pm. During the memorial, we’ll have a short program of special readings, the reading of your loved one’s names, as well as live music. We will then simultaneously release the butterflies. You’ll get to experience their beauty as some fly off to find the perfect spot to roost for the night, while others linger nearby on your shoulder or hand; giving you a great sense of warmth and awe; the Monarch Butterfly is nature’s ultimate symbol of change, transformation and beauty. Light refreshments will be available, and we will also have face-painting and coloring for the kids!
NCHHHA is humbled and honored to provide quality and compassionate end-of-life care, grief support, and education to patients, families, and the community. We offer this Butterfly Release as a time of reflection and celebration, to honor the lives of loved ones that have passed. We will share in the laughter and tears as we gather together for this amazing event. If you are unable to attend the Butterfly Release but would still like to purchase butterflies, a representative will release the butterflies for you.
